What a watercolor house portrait looks like
Our Watercolor style paints your home in soft, layered washes on a cream paper texture, with loose edges that fade into the background. Greens and warm brick tones carry the color; fine details like window frames and porch rails stay crisp enough to recognize at a glance.
If you prefer something more graphic, Ink & Wash draws the house in pen linework with a single gray wash, and Cozy Illustrated paints it in warm storybook colors with the porch lights on. You can preview all three from the same photo.
The photo that works best
Stand across the street, face the front door, and take one photo in daylight with the whole front of the house in frame. A phone photo is plenty. Try to avoid cars in the driveway and people in front of the house; trees and fences are fine.
Old snapshots and scans work too, which makes a watercolor portrait a lovely way to remember a childhood home or a house that is no longer in the family.
Sizes, frames and gifts
Posters are 12×16 on heavyweight matte archival paper. Framed prints come in 8×10, 12×16 and 18×24 in Black, Red Oak or White wood frames; the two larger sizes include a mat. You can also put the portrait on an 11 oz mug or a 3-inch porcelain ornament with your family name.

- No. Each portrait is AI-made from your photo in our watercolor style, and you approve the exact crop before anything prints.

- Yes. Add up to two pet photos and we paint them sitting in front of the house in every preview, free.
